I'm From Barcelona: We're From Barcelona

This week's track is from a band consisting of 29 members. That's right TWENTY NINE!!!  And when you hear their music you'll see that most of them are on vocals.
The Swedish band “I'm From Barcelona” plays the kind of pop music you'd expect from a Swedish indie pop band -- it's feel-good, eclectic, make you want to dance-in-your-pants kinda music.  Check out their 2006 song “We're From Barcelona.”

It's A Musical!: Pain Song

Formed in Berlin on August of 2006, It's A Musical! consists of Ella on the vocals, organ and keys, Robot on the drums and vibraphone and Marcel on the bass.  They use simple melodies to construct beautiful arrangements and are heavy on the use of melody and harmony in their vocals.

The Muslims: Bright Side

According to one music blog, these guys are on the cusp of really making it big.  When you listen to The Muslims you'll know why. Think Modern Lovers and The Velvet Underground locked up in a garage punking it up and rocking hard.

The Kills: Cheap and Cheerful

There's the kind of synth-pop that sounds dreamy and sometimes well, just way out there.  Then there's the synth pop that teeters along the borders or raw in-your-face rock.  That's what The Kills are all about.  Check out "Cheap And Cheerful" off of their 2008 album Midnight Boom, an Indie Soup Favorite!!
